CGC SIGNATURE SERIES SUBMISSIONS
Part of what we do is strive to make collectors collections as unique and one of a kind as much as possible. Which is why we are excited to extend our services to you. With the ability to submit your comic or a comic purchased within our shop for signings, you can ensure that your book(s) will be carefully authenticated, graded and certified under the prestigious CGC (or CBCS if requested) Signature Series yellow label.

Open up the appropriate Signature Series form. To get your book(s) signed by a creator we have a signing event with, you will find the appropriate form for the specific creator via our drop down menu under CGC News/CGC Signings Calendar. Please use the standard form below. Please note our standard fee for getting a book signed is $10 per signature, plus any applicable creator fees are extra. In some instances, the price may be higher for special creator events, or certain conventions due to unique travel and shipping expenses. Click here for standard Submission Form
Fill in your form. This can be filled in by hand or online (on a desktop computer), by simply typing into the appropriate boxes. You can then print off the already filled in form(s) and include it with your book(s). You can alternatively send by email, by simply pressing PRINT, then saving as a PDF. This will save the form you have filled in. Always remember to save this way rather than download once filled in. Click here for an example of a completed form
Once you have filled in your form(s), you must prepare your book(s). Please be aware that you must window bag your own books otherwise we will charge a preparation fee of $5 per book. See the video link below by Comic Vantage for guidance. If you request a specific pen color, we cannot guarantee this will be possible. However, we will take great care in getting your book(s) signed at all times. Caution, be sure to make the window bag opening large enough for the creator to sign. Some creators have large signatures, or prefer to sign in specific areas of their artwork.All books must have your name, address, phone number, email, and the creator/celebrity to sign it written on the backing board.
Once you have completed all of the above, please send everything to us, using the address shown at the bottom of this page. We recommend that you protect your book(s) with the best packaging possible. We are not responsible for how your book(s) get to us, so please do ensure great care is taken in the packaging process.
We recommend you always send your package(s) with tracking and signature required, to ensure that we receive your book(s) without any problems.

* The $15 add-on service "Fast Track" is applied to all Modern & Economy Comic Tiers, and is included in pricing. This service reduces estimated "turnaround time" by half, getting the books back to you quicker. We are not responsible for CGC's turnaround times.
Each submission tier must be on separate invoices and have their own return postage calculated due to differing completion times as we do not combine shipments or hold signature series orders. CGC charges an $8 Signature Series paper invoice handling fee (per invoice), which will be added to each invoice.
The same tier, with different service, such as Fast Track or Pressing, are considered different submissions and must have their own form. All submissions must have completed forms and your full details on the back of each backing board. Any items received incomplete will be returned to customers.
Shipping is $17 the first book, $3 each additional book for UPS or FedEX Ground shipments. For international orders please contact us for current pricing. No P.O. boxes will be accepted. If you desire a different shipping method please contact us so may discuss any available options with you.
There is a 4% handling fee added to all invoices.
MPI CGC SIGNATURE SERIES TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Please note that comic book grading is conducted solely by CGC. Major Payne Industries (MPI) does not guarantee, and is not responsible for any grading discrepancies. Should you be unhappy with the grade of your book, please contact CGC directly. Contact details can be found on their website www.cgccomics.com
- Major Payne Industries is an authorized dealer and facilitator for CGC. Liability commences with MPI once your comic books are in our possession, and until they are returned and 'signed-for' by you, or others authorized by you at the address provided on the MPI Signature Series form. MPI is not responsible for any damage, loss, or negligence, which occurs outside of this time period.
- During transit all books are insured under our policy. This policy insures up to $100,000.
- Damage during transit must be reported to MPI (via edwin@majorpayne.com) within 5 working days of delivery to the address you provided.
- Customers who choose to ship items to MPI will do so securely so that items do not incur damage through inadequate packing. We advise that you send these items with tracking and signature request.
- MPIs' submission forms are designed to be filled in on a computer. If you choose to complete by hand, customers agree to fill out MPIs' submission forms clearly, and completely, in BLOCK CAPITALS. Forms will not be submitted if hand written text is incomplete, or illegible. If a mistake is made, please complete a new form, following the guidelines above.
- CGC ‘turn-around’ times are subject to change and are dependent on CGC’s workload. MPI does not have any influence on these ‘turn-around’ times and are therefore not responsible for any changes. Please see the CGC website for further information.
- Customers agree that payment to MPI will be made before signatures are obtained. If any artist's signing policy requires a signature fee for books being signed then graded by CGC, that payment will also be provided to MPI in advance, so that we may pay the artist at the time of signing.
- If books are signed without being witnessed by the official CGC representative, they will not be eligible to be submitted to CGC by MPI. This is to maintain the validity and credibility of our service, and the CGC Signature Series program.
- Prices for MPI Signature services, additional signatures, policies, and procedures, are current as of Feb 7th, 2023. However, these are subject to change.
- Should you be dissatisfied with any aspect of the service provided by MPI, please contact us via edwin@majorpayne.com within 5 working days of receipt of goods, and we will try to address the problem. We will not be held responsible if you feel we damaged your book, or you feel an artist damaged your book during a signing event. This is the risk you take having the artist sign your book.
- Customers agree that when payment is made for any MPI Signature Series service, they are agreeing to all terms and conditions laid out in items 1-12.
